Deposit ● Before confirmation Peony & Lotus will require a fully refundable deposit of £60 to be paid via a payment link when the item is booked. ● This deposit will be refunded within 5 working days of the item being returned, subject to the item being: - Returned on time. - In the same condition as rented (excluding reasonable wear). 2. Care of Item ● The Renter agrees to take reasonable care of the item(s) and use them only for their intended purpose. ● The item must not be altered, tailored, or cleaned without the prior written consent of the Business. ● The Renter agrees to be cautious of using pins or other things that could cause noticeable damage. ● The Renter agrees to use a steam iron if needed (a non-steam iron is not recommended) due to the risk of damage that could be caused; including, burning, singing, heat marking. ● The Renter agrees to take care when wearing and removing to not force or stretch the item to much to cause damage, be gentle with fastening and zippers. To ensure to avoid causing staining from make-up products as these can cause irreversible damage ​​/​​ staining to the item(s). 3. Loss, Theft, or Damage ● The Renter is responsible for the item(s) from the time of collection​​/​​delivery until the time of return. ● In the event of loss, theft, or irreparable damage: - The Renter agrees to pay the full replacement value as listed in Section 1. - The Business may deduct the deposit and invoice for any outstanding balance. ● In the event of minor damage (e.g., stains, missing embellishments): - The Business will deduct reasonable cleaning or repair costs from the deposit. 4. Late Returns ● Returns will be managed and paid for by the Renter (Delivery to Renter covered by Peony & Lotus ​​/​​ Glamber Boutique) ● If the item is returned late: - The daily rental fee for that period of time will be deducted from the deposit and​​/​​or additional charges may apply to the Renter - If the item is more than 7 days late, it will be considered lost, and the Renter will be liable for the full replacement value, unless otherwise agreed. 5. Cancellations ● By Renter: - More than 7 days before collection: Full refund including deposit. - Less than 7 days before collection: 50% of the rental fee is non-refundable; deposit is refunded. ● By Business: - Full refund including deposit will be issued to the Renter. 6. Liability ● The Business is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from the use of the rented item(s). ● The Renter is responsible for ensuring the suitability and safety of the item(s) for their intended use. 7. Legal Action ● Failure to return the item(s) or to pay for loss or damage may result in legal proceedings. ● This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
